from what i’ve gathered by looking at zara’s may lookbook, you are going to need a tide to-go pen and avoid red wine for the entirety of summer. good luck, friends.
great news for pregnant women and those who are pregnant-to-be! zara has launched a maternity line. the “mum” collection is available now, consisting of many pieces that look very similar to zara’s usual but accommodate a growing belly.
one of these things is not like the other, eh? don’t get me wrong, i love fashion, but it gives me the occasional haughty chuckle; this particular instance (of comparing a rolled-up paper bag with zara’s faux jil sander number) is the perfect example. it’s totally cute and all, though you have to admit that “normal,” “everyday” folks may think you’re a little silly seeing as it looks like you’ve been toting around your pb&j all day.
can any of you attest to the usefulness of a thigh master? the zara trf february 2013 lookbook has me looking down at my jiggly lower half saddened that i don’t yet own a pair of destructed denim shorts. this spring, it will happen! i will rock inches of leg with confidence! also, gimme those alexander wang wannabe gladiator sandals.
i could do without most of zara’s new woman twelve lookbook (it’s a new part of the brand focused around minimalist shapes and basic colorways), but i do enjoy these two slim dresses. rather than “lbd,” they would fall into the category of “freakum.”
i typically veer more toward zara’s younger trf line, but this lookbook for the december stock of woman is glorious in the most ‘disheveled chic’ sort of way. a sheer plaid button-down paired with a matching blazer-and-pants suit? genius. polka dots with leather? why didn’t i think of that? maybe i’m losing my touch.
note: zara still has some black friday deals (up to 50% off!) up. take advantage.
here it is, the zara trf november 2012 lookbook in its full military-esque glory. for those of you who have no idea what “trf” means, it stands for “trafaluc,” which is zara’s younger-skewed line; basically, it doles out trendier, louder pieces for women unafraid to try something a little different and less classic. either way, these are some of the pieces you can expect to see arriving in stores this month.
while abroad (can staying in “north america’s hat” be considered going “abroad”?), laura and i stopped into a zara and immediately became entranced. the retailer is stuffed with all things beautiful and good, so i implore you to stop in soon. additionally, zara’s woman october 2012 lookbook has been revealed. it further supports my view.

as promised, here is exactly what i experienced at last night’s zara home preview. the entire collection becomes available for purchase beginning october 9. prices were not displayed at the event, so i am left wondering what the cost of these items will be—we can assume that the sheets, coverlets, pillows, and such will be marked affordably in signature zara style. i love me a white spread, so of course i swooned over the offerings, but i particularly enjoyed the nod to fairytales on the two youth-focused beds.
when it comes to where i’ll be spending on the home, cb2 now has a run for its money.
last night, i viewed zara’s very first housewares collection. yes, you read that correctly. beginning october 9, zara will enable shoppers to purchase sleek, affordable items for the home. additional details to come later today (obv i have pictures—lots of them).
