i’m not good at sports, but you would never know it if you saw me on the street wearing any of these shirts! i bet you’d say to yourself, “that girl looks like she would be talented at badminton” and be totally unaware that my eye-hand coordination is shit.

shopping-wise, my priority has shifted a bit to include more housewares than in years past as i attempt to jazz up my tiny studio apartment; through this newfound search for interiors, i have grown particularly fond of grid print, which is comprised of black and white boxes that truly match any and everything.

in an effort to prevent katie white, lead singer of the ting tings, from declaring “that’s not my name,” i would just suggest she go for one of these cool bracelets. just sayin’.

i’m a tad wary about how the clear plastic will age (it tends to yellow), but summer is the perfect season to break out the jellies! because trends tend to reinvent themselves over time, it’s nice to see the shapes of this one getting more unique.

i initially had my heart on a camo-and-stripes tee from otte but after recently learning of its “sold out” status, i had to create a new purchase strategy, one that would realistically be camo-specific because how often do you stumble upon that kind of gloriosity?

cosmic print is one of the first trends i’ve tackled that i’m nearly positive i’ll be sick of in a few months time, but it can stay for the moment. like photo-florals, i love its watercolor-like mix of pastels with black and the embrace of astrology. because nothing says “i know enough about the stars to wear them on my sleeve” more than this.

why, yes, i do want to look like a picnic table this summer; there is something so retro-chic about gingham and i have it planted firmly in my brain for the upcoming season.

some people tend to believe that leather is not a warm weather fabric. i can kind see where they are coming from (see: also), but add a little laser action into it and there is instant breathability, don’t you think? all those holes? i haven’t had coffee yet.

i would say that i’m a fashion tomboy; despite being awful at sports, i have a fascination with sportswear and clothing with a hint of masculinity. thus, mesh is on my “must get” list for the upcoming season since it is super breathable due to all dem holes.

does anyone know when it is an appropriate time to rock white footwear? we always hear “not after labor day,” but what about when you can? i say white footwear’s moment is now. there is something so adorably retro about a pale pair of loafers in particular, so that is what i have my eye on at the moment.
