thanks to fashionista, you can now check out the prabal gurung for target collection in its entirety; the standouts in this diffusion line are definitely the prints. looking through it, i’ll be candid: there is going to be a lot of cheap-looking footwear and jewelry come february 10. most prices ring in under $50 (the peak, a leather jacket, will cost $199).

if you were looking for another fashion blogger to post about the news that prabal gurung is soon to launch a collection with target, then here you go: it’s happening. according to gurung, “this collection was inspired by love and if target’s guests can feel even a little bit of the love that i felt while i was designing this collection, then i will consider it a job well done.” that’s some deep shit right there.

the line includes clothes from $20-200 as well as accessories, shoes, and jewelry from $13 to $40. get them in stores and on target.com beginning february 10.

behold! the prabal gurung “cast member” uniforms for sephora have been revealed! the red-and-black color-blocked frocks will be worn by both male and female employees of the cosmetics retailer. what do you think about them? would you be happy about the designer duds? i feel like he could’ve done a bit more… (i’m kind of bored, to be honest.)

it is so lovely to see e-writers appreciated for their talent away from their computers. what do i mean by this? well, prabal gurung enlisted the help of fashion blogger-turned-designer zana bayne to create some of her now-infamous leather harnesses for his spring 2012 runway show. they came out beautifully and added a chic toughness to gurung’s gorgeous gowns. what do you all think of the addition?

unfortunately, we did not get to sneak a peek at his upcoming spring 2012 collection, but what we did get is a heaping tablespoon of prabal gurung. he is so lovely to talk to — the main takeaway is that he is one of the biggest supporters of tumblr and social media as a whole. i quote: “the new cool is letting people in.” how could you not love a designer with that point of view? and, um, you guys? he is ripped.
