big shock here (kidding): i am obsessed with the mulberry spring 2012 collection.

as a whole, london fashion week killed it for me; so many of the clothes that came out of those short seven days were enough to give me style inspiration for the next five years. slim sweater + leather moto jacket + sweeping chiffon maxi + satchel = perfection. not necessarily perfection for my body type since imma look stumpy as hell in that combination, but we’re just gonna let that part slide. deal with it.

okay, um, i’m going to need a moment alone with the mulberry resort 2012 collection. like, all of it (obviously, without the models because i’ve come to the conclusion i’m far more attracted to clothing than people). close the door quietly on your way out and try not to be disturbed by the noises that you may hear coming from within.

mulberry revamped its classic “lily” bag for spring/summer 2011. “but, sara, what does this mean?” let me tell you: according to styleclicker, this limited-edition beauty now features 2,596 swarovski crystals, 460 manually-applied rivets and a £3,500 price-tag.

in my opinion, mulberry always gets it right. season after season, the outerwear and dresses and handbags — good god, the handbags — can easily become staples in any woman’s wardrobe. fall 2011 collection was no different. i can’t wait for autumn to arrive.

sometimes, i just know that i am going to love a collection before i even look at the runway show. seeing mulberry’s fall 2010 line was one such time. there was lots of leopard, splashes of bright colors (purple, royal blue and coral among them) and was inspired by valley of the dolls. that’s enough to sell me.
