i typically find lots to love when it comes to the topshop unique collection each london fashion week and fall 2013 was no different as it brought a solid color palette of pale blue and pink (pastels!), navy-black combinations, sable, and a dash of tomato red. and the texture! oh, the texture. but the cherry on top of this delicious layer cake of fashion was the wash of blue covering each model’s eyes. i’m not sure how i can translate this memorable beauty look into my everyday, but you know i’m gonna try.

akinsaltfish asked:

London , Paris or Milan???

london. personally, my eye is drawn to unique, yet wearable looks rather than fantastical ones and i find that british designers know how to get their hands dirty better than any.

we all spend so much time and effort fawning over the good-looking collections shown at fashion week, but what about the ones from hotmessville, u.s.a.? for example, the footwear at prada, the headgear at giles, and the ravers from louise gray? some designers have been smoking too much hashish, if you ask me.

i know you’re probably thinking to yourself “um, but if i wanted to look at pretty pictures from fashion week, i would just go to style.com myself,” but why do that when i can do the work for you and break down the show in true sara zucker style? you come here for my pizzazz, don’t you? that being said, i think you need to take a moment to bask in the wonder of the metallics at jonathan saunders. to find an effect most often found on skyscrapers and sunglasses and fun stickers from 5th grade that told you what a great job you were doing in moto jacket form is blowing my mind.

me too, me too. (hangover garb with scrunchies c/o ashish spring 2013.)

big shock here (kidding): i am obsessed with the mulberry spring 2012 collection.

as a whole, london fashion week killed it for me; so many of the clothes that came out of those short seven days were enough to give me style inspiration for the next five years. slim sweater + leather moto jacket + sweeping chiffon maxi + satchel = perfection. not necessarily perfection for my body type since imma look stumpy as hell in that combination, but we’re just gonna let that part slide. deal with it.

like i told my twitter followers, this might sound a little morbid, but when i die, i’d like to be buried in a bathtub filled with christopher kane spring 2012 prints. that’s honesty.

house of holland isn’t known for being tame or subtle, so the spring 2012 collection’s kookiness came as no surprise, but there were some extremely wearable looks out of the bunch. double mesh? i love that. neon leopard print? need. and what does a girl gotta do to get some cloud-print bermuda shorts? throw me a bone here.

sweet, joyous, cherubic angels that reign on high, i am going to need to do something about my wardrobe asap in an effort to imitate the ashish spring 2012 collection. everything about it thrills me; the dark lips, all that clownish floral print, more reasons for me to grow my hair long. i need to step away from the computer and do some jumping jacks or something because i just have way too much energy in me right now.
