as if i didn’t already have backpacks on the brain, i recently learned that i will need knee surgery, which will require a two-month bout of crutches, sooo since backpacks are the only practical style to don when on crutches, i’ll likely lean hard on herschel's spring lookbook for potential purchase inspiration.
herschel and hypebeast have gotten together and created a collaboration for the ages. the result of their partnership comes in the form of a sick backpack, which retailed at $140 until it sold out. i know — this entire post was one big tease. sorry.
pack it up, pack it up! pack it up, pack it up! woah! herschel has released a collection of packable bags — totes, duffle bags, and backpacks — that are so cute and easy to carry around that you’re going to look at your hefty satchel and wonder what you’ve been doing with yourself all your life. peak price? $30. get it together, people.
herschel is one of those brands that i continually recommend to people looking for a sturdy, quality-made unisex bag despite not owning one myself, which is so wrong because why in the world would you follow my advice if i haven’t experienced it myself? knowing that herschel is stepping its toe in the collab pool with a very “that makes so much sense — why didn’t i know about it sooner?” stüssy partnership is merely encouraging me to take control of myself and spend more money.
ladies of fashion week, i see your pradas and fendis and raise you a nylon marc by mac jacobs backpack, which is my latest acquisition for trekking from show to presentation to party, and so on — sure, i look like a middle school student, but i will no longer have sore shoulders/back after a week of heavy lifting. why am i talking about all this? herschel revealed its latest collection (called “bad hills”), featuring tropical bird prints on bags that have me a little sad i didn’t know about them sooner.
