one of the most exciting aspects of attending magic this past week was the opportunity to speak directly with the heads of brands i’ve admired (and worn) for years. lani karls, co-founder of kensie, was one such person. after being given a tour of the kensie booth, which was crammed full of new and upcoming stock for the spring season, i was able to sit down and chat with the fashion industry power-player. she explained the label’s motivation to be trendy, yet wearable throughout the seasons. the kensie girl easily mixes hard and soft, feminine and masculine, while still keeping comfort in mind. karls said that her company is super in-touch with the blogosphere and is always looking to get involved with bloggers — we are the future, after all ;)
