as jackie briefly mentioned, the latest winner of project runway, christian siriano, has just been contracted to design a line of handbags and shoes with payless. it didn’t take long,  a fierce debate has already formed about whether or not this move would be considered ‘selling out’ so soon in his fashion design career, but he has made no bones about his desire to make money. in his words, “i want everybody to have a piece of my brand.”

though the line should be available next fall and will be available in 400 stores across the united states, it will debut at his fashion show during new york fashion week in february.
