what is a 'bklyn girl'?

as i said, “despite the fact that there are many diverse areas in the whole of brooklyn…” i completely agree with you, the article is a joke. my sarcasm clearly didn’t come through this time around and for that i apologize.

No offense, Sara, but this article about “Brooklyn” only talks about Williamsburg, Ft. Greene, Park Slope, Carroll Gardens & Red Hook, a.k.a. as close to Manhattan in Brooklyn as you can get (not an opinion, just look at a map).  I see no mention of the rest of this giant borough, the not-as-cool places to live such as Bay Ridge, Sunset Park, Dyker Heights, Bensonhurst, Boro Park, Marine Park, Mill Basin, Canarsie, etc.

As someone who was born, raised & currently living in Brooklyn, I think this article is severly lacking.
