i’ve been thinking about the power of scent lately. i don’t know much about high, middle, or bass notes.
in my mind, the scents a person is attracted to seem to correlate with their dress. for example, my sister has always worn perfume with light and flowery bases (i have hung a past “sunflowers” by elizabeth arden choice over her head since high school) and gravitates toward more feminine pieces of clothing. i, on the other hand, am a bit more rugged in my style of dressing with studs and leather, and i’ve only worn shades of musk. perhaps i am finding parallels where they need not exist, but, what do you think? are fashion and beauty really so closely related? is it really so simple?
