to be honest, i don’t really obey fashion “rules.” i’m not sure who enforced them, but we live in a new world! it’s twenty-ten! times have changed! i have no qualms about combining black and brown because they are both neutrals, just as casually as i would mix navy and tan or black and navy or brown and khaki. one stipulation is to choose one of the neutrals as a base color.

example: black shirt/brown slacks/gold accessories/black boots.
