a few weeks back, i had mentioned to someone that i preferred to shop alone. the person took this to mean [and said] that i was “anti-social”. i felt that, not only was it a rude and insulting statement, but also completely untrue (i am a social butterfly, thank you very much). when i shop, i almost always have a goal purchase in mind, and i tend to partake in an inner competition with myself to see if i can find the best quality/price/overall value for the chosen item. if i bring a friend, it tends to become a casual excursion rather than a concentrated visit. there is anything wrong with either choice, but it is absolutely a personal decision.

this got me to thinking, is your stance on shopping at all related to your personality? when you shop with friends, do you go for the camaraderie, or for the approval of others?
