farpitzs means "all dressed up" in yiddish.
remember j.jill? i know, it’s usually lumped in the category of “soccer mom” with chico’s and ann taylor, but times have changed. the ladies at jill have come up with a new line of chinos with styles that are supposed to kick other brands out of the retail pool. in promotion, they’ve sent a pair to yours truly to test.
i’ve been told to provide “both praise and criticism,” so, here goes nothing:
i was given the ‘boyfriend’ style, which were ridiculously soft, like butter-soft, but thin. as a lady with her fair share of cellulite (don’t pretend like you don’t have any), thin pants are the bane of my existence. and chinos do not have to be light! light colors are the worst! i would recommend darker shades to be available (olive, dark tan, chocolate). they fit fairly true-to-size and roomy in the hips, maybe a tad tight in the waist. keeping all of that in mind, i approved and would give j.jill a chance. with so many stores jumping on the bandwagon for khaki this spring, it’s nice to see a brand actually trying to keep its consumer in mind.
