i may not celebrate christmas in the religious sense, but i sure do love all the decorations and fat men in suits and waiting in line and the existence of chili pepper-shaped lightbulbs. thank goodness for holidays, right? anyway, the last time (and i did scour every picture ever taken of me to find this out) i was photographed in celebration of a holiday that wasn’t mine, it was in italy.
florence was holding their annual heidelberg market. it was the first time in five months that i ate candy, so no one was surprised when i found a vendor who made child-sized animal hats and insisted that i try them all on. i was horrified/pleased to find that my head was small enough to fit into them. does this mean that my brain is small? i also ate a 1.5-foot-long bratwurst.
note: this photograph will act as this week’s gpoyw. you’re welcome.
