the bande des quatres collection ii

last week, amidst craziness, i grabbed my sister’s hand (we hold hands sometimes—is that weird? whatever.) and brought her with me to the presentation of erin wahed’s latest collection. before she emailed me, i’ll be honest, i wasn’t aware of bande des quatres. i should have been. as you can see from the photos above, this is some avant garde deliciousness incarnate. basically, wearing her pieces is like carrying around a museum exhibit on your wrist and/or fingers. bande des quatres is a boutique jewelry line created less than a year ago by erin and her mother, jeweler janis kerman. each piece is inspired by the bauhaus masters and world renowned architects; they’re a bit pricey, but the craftsmanship and quality is fully evident.
