Hi Sara! Loving your blog, but what else is new? I'm here because I'm having some trouble wearing a pair of shoes that I love but would have never purchased had they not been $18.50 at Buffalo Exchange. Anyway, I'm really wondering how to wear a pair of women's Nike Blazers (in black, grey, and purple) in a way that is tasteful for a young adult woman and not a rebellious teenager. Thanks!

thanks so much, g/f. diving right into your question, you should know that you got quite a deal on those blazers—they are normally priced around $100/120. knowing that, yes, they are casual sneakers, there is a fine line between that “mature adult wearing high-tops” and “don’t tell me what to do, mom!” here is how i would wear them:

  1. marled cardigan (sparkle & fade, $30)
  2. black waxed denim (h&m, $39)
  3. an interesting t-shirt (all saints, $38)
  4. your new blazers (?)
