the khirma eliazov spring 2012 collection

you may not believe it, but i am rarely blown away by a new designer and their work. this blog may disprove that theory considering you only see what i post and i only post about what i like, but it’s true. yesterday’s visit to preview the khirma eliazov spring handbag line was one of those collections where, upon seeing it, i felt compelled to call my mother and rant about its beauty for at least ten minutes. ten! ten minutes! the amount of mind-blowing texture combined with luxest-of-the-luxe materials (embossed python, satin, lizard, waxed canvas, stingray) left me breathless. you have no idea how anxious and excited i’ve been to show these bags to you. to tell you a little bit about khirma, the republic of georgia-born designer began her foray into fashion as an editor and stylist before debuting her first collection in november 2009. in less than three years, she has created a line of covetable handbags.

because of the description above, you should prepare yourself; a khirma eliazov bag is for the faint of heart. you may want to start saving your pennies because prices range from $110 for a python cuff (the last picture) to a $1,680 python tote.
