yesterday morning, i woke up early as if to go to the gym before work, but instead scurried to tribeca to stop by steven alan. i was invited to preview clare vivier’s spring collection, which had me all sorts of excited because i’ve become a huge fan of hers over the years having seen vivier bags on every cool chick on the internet. (unforch, i can’t afford to splurge on one for myself at the moment, so i relegated myself to live vicariously.) what i definitely didn’t expect was to actually meet miss vivier…and steven alan himself! both were lovely as was the bag collection—clare’s been killin’ it lately by implementing new materials, textures and hardware. i have no doubt that she’ll become a force to be reckoned with in the accessories industry. many, many thanks to karen for thinking of me and extending the invitation.
