chris benz’s was a show that i had been looking forward to all week. not rain nor snow nor sleet could keep me from seeing what i expected to be mind-blowing prints, punchy colors and on-point accessorizing. the spring 2012 collection did not disappoint. in addition to giving all participating models stellar beauty looks of bright lips with frizzy bouffants and washed eye colors, movado and alejandro ingelmo stepped in to provide watch and footwear collaborations. selima optique designed the eyewear and the chunky jewelry was created by the woods. they were the perfect complement to the benz looks. i can’t say that he provided an overall youthful atmosphere (the models kind of looked like grungy-in-a-chic-way grandmas), but they sure did make me wish i were wealthier. and taller. and not so disheveled.
